2016/2017 U19 qualifying round: Russia, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Fin
On Thursday, 3 December, the qualifying round draw of the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship took place in Swiss Nyon. The Russian U19 team (players born in or after 1998) got to Group 1 along with Belgium, Kazakhstan and Finland.

The Group 1 qualifying round mini-tournament of the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship will take place on 6-11 October 2016 in Belgium.
The top two in each group along with the one third-placed team with the best record against the leading pair will join Spain in the elite round in spring 2017.
The final tournament of the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship with the participation of 8 teams will be staged in summer 2017 in Georgia.
