2016/2017 U19 qualifying round: Russia, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Fin

On Thursday, 3 December, the qualifying round draw of the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship  took place in Swiss Nyon. The Russian U19 team (players born in or after 1998) got to Group 1 along with Belgium, Kazakhstan and Finland.

All qualifying groups formation:

Group 1: Russia, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Finland

Group 2: Netherlands, Norway, San Marino, Romania

Group 3: Israel, Scotland, Liechtenstein, Andorra

Group 4: Germany, Republic of Ireland, Albania, Gibraltar

Group 5: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Azerbaijan

Group 6: England, Greece, Wales, Luxembourg

Group 7: Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Armenia

Group 8: Denmark, Portugal, Bulgaria, Belarus

Group 9: France, Czech Republic, Estonia, Slovenia

Group 10: Sweden, Serbia, Moldova, Malta

Group 11: FYR Macedonia, Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Poland

Group 12: Croatia, Montenegro, Faroe Islands, Cyprus

Group 13: Ukraine, Turkey, Latvia, Iceland

The Group 1 qualifying round mini-tournament of the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship will take place on 6-11 October 2016 in Belgium.

The top two in each group along with the one third-placed team with the best record against the leading pair will join Spain in the elite round in spring 2017.

The final tournament of the 2017 UEFA European Under-19 Championship with the participation of 8 teams will be staged in summer 2017 in Georgia.
