
Awarding of participants of National League “Equal capabilities”
On Thursday, February 7, the First FUR Vice-President Nikita Simonyan awarded participants and prize-winners of National League “Equal capabilities” in futsal of the sightless 5x5 B1 following the results of 2018.
A famous Soviet footballer Vladimir Ponomarev, Head of FUR Department of Professional Football Sergey Kulikov, Head of FUR Department of Competitions Management Vladimir Oleksin, Deputy Head of FUR Department of Grassroots and Junior football Mikhail Efimov and President of Football federation of the disabled Georgy Lunacharsky took part in the awarding ceremony.
3 women’s teams, 4 youth and 10 men’s ones competed in 2018 within the open Russian League “Equal capabilities”.
FC Avangard (Mytishchi) won the gold among women’s’ teams, FC Orbita –Junior (Dzerdzhinsky) got the silver, and FC Inter (Sergiev Posad) – the bronze. FC Volga (Nizhny Novgorod) took the first place among youth teams, FC Rubin (Kazan) – the second place, FC Orbita-Junior (Dzerdzhinsky) – the third one, FC Olymp (Korolev) – the fourth. As for men’s teams – FC Avangard (Mytishchi) became the best, followed by FC Orbita-Junior (Dzerdzhinsky) and FC Volga (Nizhny Novgorod).
Russian team, which has won the fourth place at World Cup in a category B1, deserved special attention. The Russians became the best among European teams, having conceded only to Brazilians, Argentina and China. Besides, the success of FC Zvezda from Moscow Region was noted, as the team became the winner of European Cup among clubs teams in Prague.
“I would like to thank and congratulate you! There are always perspectives for growth, but you have done excellent work!” – Nikita Simonyan addressed to the audience. The first vice-president also wished success to our national team at a training camp in September before Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.
The atmosphere of the meeting, which ended with a common photo, was very friendly.
