Sports Honours: RSFSR Merited Coach (1968). USSR Merited Coach (1970). Top scorer ever in FC Spartak Moscow history – 160 goals.

Player’s Career: FC Spartak Moscow (1949—1959)

The USSR Champion: 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958 The USSR Cup holder: 1950, 1958 Top scorer of the USSR Championships: 1949 (26 goals), 1950 (34 goals), 1953 (14 goals ) The USSR National team: 20 caps, 10 goals scored. Gold medal holder of the Olympic Games 1956. Participated in FIFA World Cup 1958.

Coach Career: FC Spartak, Moscow (1960—1965, 1967—1972), FC Ararat, Erevan  (1973—1974, 1984—1985), FC Chernomorets, Odessa (1980—1981), the USSR National team (1977—1979).

Coach Achievements: FC  Spartak twice won the USSR Championship  (1962, 1969) and the USSR Cup  three times (1963, 1965, 1971), FC Ararat won the USSR Championship and the Cup in 1973.

In December 1998 was elected as the Vice-President of the Football Union of Russia, later as the First Vice-President.
